402 Opportunity with the K.I.D. Lab

Looking for a lab to join for COGS 402? The K.I.D. Lab is currently working on designing and testing computer based studies to assess children’s cognitive development with a particular focus on learning and perspective-taking. These projects are still in their early stages so there are plenty of opportunities to offer your unique ideas and input. The K.I.D. Lab is especially interested in students who have experience with computer programming. Students will assist with a research project that involves creating computed based applications for simple experiment-based games to foster and study children’s and adults’ learning and perspective taking abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience creating HTML5-based client apps or experience with Inquisit or Swiftcode. Applicants who lack this specific experience but have related experience, are computer savvy, and are fast learners willing to learn somewhat independently (with supervisor support) are also encouraged to apply.  If interested in applying email your unofficial transcript and a brief overview of your experience to sbirch@psych.ubc.ca
