402 Opportunities at the VCL

The Visual Cognition Lab at UBC works to investigate visual intelligence – the way in which the human visual system uses the light entering the eyes to create a variety of perceptual experiences. We are interested both in exploring the mechanisms that carry this out, and the ways in which this knowledge can help with the design of effective visual displays. Our projects vary from implicit cognition, visual search, inattentional blindness, data visualization, and many others. We strongly encourage COGS students interested in these topics to determine which project they would like to build further upon for their COGS 402 project. Please visit our website to see what active projects we currently have as well as the steps needed to apply.
