All graduating students must apply to graduate, regardless of the intent to attend/skip the ceremony. More information is available here.
Yes. Cognitive Systems will appear TWICE in the ceremony schedule. One will be under B.A., and the other will be under B.Sc.
If you are finishing all your degree requirements in the fall (Winter term 1), you are not eligible to graduate in November (November graduation is for students who finished all their degree requirements by the end of Summer term 2). The earliest you can graduate is May in the following year (after Winter term 2 ends).
If you need proof that you finished all your degree requirements before your graduation ceremony, please refer to the question below regarding program completion letters.
The wording is confusing; although it is a Program Completion Letter, it is issued by your Faculty (not the COGS Program. The word "Program" refers to your Degree Program, where your Degree = Bachelor's and your Program = Arts or Science). The process depends on which Faculty you are in:
- If you are an Arts student, you can download a program completion letter through the UBC Official Documents Tool, accessible through Workday. You can find details here, under the "Access your program completion letter" section.
- If you are a Science student, there is a form that you can fill out and send to Science Advising. The form is available here.
Photo sessions are booked at Artona directly. There are no off-cycle sessions for November graduates, so if you are graduating in November and you wish to get your photo taken you can get your photos taken early or later.
